Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
In short: What is SEO?
Search engine optimization, SEO for short, refers to all measures that serve to make a website more visible in the organic search results of Google & Co. The goal of SEO is to get more qualified visitors to your site via search engines.
What does “organic” mean?
Organic means: not paid. In other words, all results that are displayed under the ads (Google Ads). Whoever appears at the top of the search results gets clicks. That is exactly what SEO is about.
Why is SEO important?
People are actively looking for a solution for a product or service. They use search engines such as Google, Perplexity or ChatGPT. When you're there are not visible, for many, you simply don't exist.
SEO ensures that:
- your content is found
- You get visitors even if there is no advertising budget
- you build trust (good rankings act like a recommendation)
What does SEO really do?
SEO is not a quick fix, but more like a garden: You have to maintain it, water it regularly, and be patient. But if you do it right, something really strong grows up, namely stable, sustainable traffic that stays even if you stop running ads.
